Thermal Mermaid was created in 2015 by Jennifer Tynan and her daughter Hannah. What started as a pedestrian book with basic traditional soap recipes published for friends and family who wanted to make the items sold on their craft table, turned into a small website with tutorials to match the recipes in the book. From there, a soap making community came together and the website features have expanded over the years to create useful tools and platforms for other soap makers hoping to expand on their craft and business.
